Bespoke accessories or catalogue accessories: why the difference shows
Most hospitality properties buy their furnishing accessories from different suppliers: the wardrobe from one manufacturer, the bed base from another, the desk from a third. The result is almost always a room where every piece of furniture looks like it came from a different place, because that’s exactly what happened. Different wood grains, finishes that don’t match, heights and proportions that don’t relate to each other.
The problem isn’t just cosmetic. It’s also functional. A luggage rack bought separately from the desk is almost always the wrong size for the space available: either too large, blocking the walkway, or too small to hold the weight of an average trolley case. A bedside table bought without knowing the bed’s exact width ends up either too narrow or too wide for the space between the bed and the wall.
We make every accessory in coordination with the room’s main furniture. That means if you’re refurbishing a double room, the desk, the luggage rack, the minibar unit, the bedside tables and the wardrobe are all made in the same finish, with the same handles, in the same proportions, through the same production chain. The result is a room that looks like it was designed by one single hand, because it was.
How long do furnishing accessories last in a hotel
Accessories destined for the rooms have to meet two requirements that are non-negotiable in hospitality furniture. The first is regulatory: upholstered materials must be certified fire-resistant. The second is practical: they have to be designed for the intensive use of a hotel room.
In a hotel room a bed base is lifted to change the sheets once or more a day, moved to clean underneath, and has to bear guests of different weights for hundreds of nights a year. The opening mechanisms we use are built for this kind of mechanical stress.
The same is true for wardrobe hinges. The Blum hinges we use are tested for over 200,000 opening and closing cycles, which in a room with one guest a day opening and closing the wardrobe two or three times is worth around ten years of the piece’s working life. The higher initial cost of an accessory built for hotel use pays for itself within a few years of not having to replace it.

Can I order just the accessories without the room’s main furniture?
Yes. We also supply accessories separately, regardless of who made the rest of the furniture. In this case we carry out a site visit to record the exact dimensions and existing finishes, and make the new accessories to coordinate with what’s already in the room.
Can you replicate the finish of furniture that’s already there?
In most cases, yes. During the free site visit we bring samples and check compatibility with the existing finishes. If the original finish is discontinued, we suggest the closest available match and leave the decision to the client.
How long does it take to produce the accessories?
Production time is around 4-6 weeks from order confirmation, the same as for the main furniture. For urgent orders, we assess on a case-by-case basis depending on current production capacity.
Do you provide technical documentation for the fire-resistant accessories?
Yes. For every upholstered accessory we provide the fire-resistance certification, the material’s technical data sheet, and the declaration of conformity with hospitality regulations.
Do you handle the replacement of individual damaged accessories?
Yes. We also make individual replacement pieces for properties that already have our furniture installed. For properties with furniture from other manufacturers, we assess case by case depending on the availability of samples of the existing finishes.
